Saya sampai terheran-heran begitu hebohnya menunggu dirilisnya versi final dari Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Mungkin karena saya ikut menunggu jadi merasakan heboh. Seandainya saya tidak mengikuti pasti akan terasa biasa saja.
Sejak mencoba menginstal linux pertama kali yaitu Mandriva/Knoppix (agak lupa saya), sampai sekarang entah sudah berapa kali gonta ganti OS. Sebenarnya ingin sekali menginstal dan bisa bertahan sampai 20 tahun gitu lhoo, tidak usah update. Capek setelah menginstal kemudian setting lagi. Sampeyan ada saran nggak OS apa yang bisa diinstal dan bertahan 20 tahun.
Sebagai contoh untuk setting mango open source machine to machine on ubuntu saya butuh waktu hampir sebulan… Capek deh…
Kalau teman saya yang musisi punya guitar hero (maksudnya gitar pertama yang dipakai), meskipun masih menyandang gelar pengguna linux pemula saya juga punya cd hero hehehehe.

Saya sendiri belum sepenuhnya mencoba kemolekan si “Lucid Lynx” yaitu code name untuk Ubuntu 10.04. Kemarin baru sempat mencoba live cd, tapi belum saya install. Sebenarnya sudah tidak tahan untuk mencobanya, warnanya yang ungu itu lho membuat saya agak gimana gitu.
